A great night of dancey, bluesy, funky rock ‘n’ roll!
Fresh off the release of their latest CD, Ruby Headlights, The Powergoats headline the show with a catchy blues rock set that has R&B, reggae, ska, and alt-rock influences. We’re in the middle spot with an all-originals set — lots of newer material and some throwbacks that we haven’t played in awhile. Our friends from Paint join the line-up on loan from Toronto, where charismatic frontman Robb Johannes is running for mayor. Paint is celebrating the 5-year anniversary of their album Can You Hear Me?, filled with solid alt-rock songs. Finally, Sarah Cogan and her band, The Thrifty Kids, open the night. New to the Ottawa scene, they will show why they have definite staying power.
